Chose you place based on location. But very pleased to find such wonderful accommodation. Fantastic breakfast. Great drying room. And although our room had no view it was lovely to sit in the lounge with a wee dram and look out over the bay and the hills. Thanks for looking after us.

If, like us, you are finishing off the WHW then we would highly recommend staying here. The location is great, just off the Way a close to the station. Very comfortable rooms. Breakfast is second to none. And if you get the full Highland weather the drying room will sort you out while you have a nice dram in the bar. If you are in two minds the Guisachan Guesthouse is a good choice.

Thank goodness I was directed to this Guesthouse. It made my stay in the Highlands even better. The owners and the staff are all lovely, also extremely helpful. My breakfast was good quality food, sourced locally. I loved my room, it was perfect for me. Next visit to the Highlands, I’ll definitely stay here. Well Done, absolutely no complaints.

Definitely book in advance. The location is perfect for travelling. A 5 minute walk from the Train and Bus station. The view is sublime and so peaceful. The staff in the Train Station are very helpful and will point you in the right direction. Enjoy your stay.

Carmen and Phill, are excellent hosts, going out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. Superb location, close to the town centre and railway station. If you are visiting Fort William Guisachan Guesthouse is well situated in the town. It looks like an Alpine Chalet and sits on a hill overlooking the town. It is well run with welcoming hosts and support staff. It is very reasonably priced and nothing is a bother to staff. I will definitely be back, availability permitting.

We enjoyed our stay at Guisachan Guesthouse and had our favorite meal (the breakfast) of our whole trip in Scotland! An easy walk to restaurants and shopping. And a beautiful waterfront view during breakfast! We’d recommend this guesthouse to any traveler in Fort William.

There is free parking at the guesthouse or they’ll hold on to your bags. Get there in enough time to enjoy walking around town. You’ll also have a beautiful view of the loch and mountains outside.

Everything was wonderful at this awesome guest house from the friendly service to the relaxed atmosphere. It’s along time since we have experienced such a personal touch. Phil & Carmen went above & beyond to ensure all was perfect for us. Nothing is Amy trouble to them at all. This place serves the best ever breakfast. The best in our 2 week break & indeed in a long time, which just topped it all off. If you like good quality local produce & plenty of it’s here! Can’t fault attention to detail with cleanliness & comfort either. Coffee is also super & a nice selection of ale & whiskey at the little bar in a cosy inviting lounge area. We also loved the covered outside seating area & Breakfast room, both of which provided lovely views over Loch Linhe. We would highly recommend & can’t wait to return. We very much enjoyed our stay at Guisachan. Carmen and Phill were incredibly helpful when we were booking and everyone at the guesthouse looked after us really well. Final stop on our West Highland Way getaway, definitely saved the best till last! Stunning location, beautiful views, super friendly welcome! Bathrooms are immaculate, rooms are beautifully decorated with quality furniture and the comfiest beds. Breakfast was awesome; so much choice (mainly locally sourced produce) so fresh and so perfectly cooked and presented. On our departure day we weren’t leaving Fort William until late afternoon; being able to leave our luggage on the premises and have the use of the communal area for as long as we wanted was a fantastic bonus for us, we were able to enjoy a wander round Fort William then relax in the lounge waiting for our transport. A well deserved 5 stars to Guisachan Guesthouse!

Wonderful hospitality with outstanding views. The breakfasts were delicious and filled us up until dinner. The Haggis and Stornaway Black Pudding were my personal nap highlights of a plentiful breakfast. Carmen and Phill were wonderful hosts and their staff are a credit to them. We were on a few days trip and this was by far the best place we stayed, including a 4* MacDonald hotel. Room was great, receptionist was so welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was superb. Carmen and Phil were so delightful I even tried to pay them twice! They kindly refused 🤣.

There is a wee short steep hill to the guesthouse if walking from the town centre. No worse than the 9th hole at my local golf course, but just make sure you take your time if walking up. The view from the breakfast restaurant is well worth it!

Great location for anyone attempting The National Three Peaks Challenge from Fort William station. Handy for a short walk into town. Very helpful in advising about places to eat for Coeliacs. Not many places are able to offer a triple room. We were lucky to be able to get into our room early. Phill and Carmen very welcoming and provided a late breakfast too. No need for towels and good toiletries provided in shower room.

Phill and Carmen are absolutely wonderful. Even though check in isn’t until 4, they kindly allowed us to store our luggage in the guest lounge while we took the afternoon Jacobite train. The next day, when an unexpected trip to the hospital was needed, they again let us store our luggage rather than carry it with us over to Belford. From the time we arrived until we left, they made us feel welcomed and comfortable.

Guisachan Guest House is a great option while in Fort William. I’d you’re traveling with your family of 4, the large family room includes bunk beds for the children and everyone can comfortably fit in one room. Accommodations are comfortable, breakfast is delicious, and you’re centrally located for anything you’d like to do in Fort William. Plus, the hosts are incredibly kind!

We stayed for one night and were so happy with everything that Guisachan Guesthouse provided for us. The staff, owners, facilities and rooms were absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was extremely generous and varied, served in a beautiful dining room over looking the Loch and guesthouse gardens. We really enjoyed our overnight stay, Phil and Carmen are perfect hosts. The facilities in the rooms are well thought out with nice touches like the flannel to remove make up, the Cotten pads and ear buds and of course the lovely highland soap company products. Breakfast was relaxed with an excellent offering, including delicious cheese and rye bread. We were able to leave our cases until our train connection was due which was really helpful.

Hi Antonio Thanks for providing feedback. I would have been interested to know why you have chosen to score us less for location and facilities. We have just replaced all of the shower room facilities in the annex with new, at significant cost; and there is little we can do about the location of the guesthouse, although it is very close to the centre of town which is what most people want. This guest house has everything you need for a good start in the morning a delicious breakfast all freshly made. Rooms are cleaned and beds are comfortable and if you re out fur an hike and you come back full of mod , they offer wet serviettes to clean up cloths and shoes. Highly recommend ! My daughter and I stayed at the Guisachan Guesthouse and are so pleased we did! They were so warm and welcoming, and ready to help with whatever was needed. A very well situated guest house with a short walk into Fort William. The rooms had a high standard of cleanliness and the breakfast had a good choice, delivered from friendly staff.

To see everything you need more than the two nights we had. In the summer months you really need to book for where you intend to eat, or expect at least an hours wait.

Of all the hotels we’ve stayed during our Scotland visit, Guisachan is the cutest and most comfortable. While our room was not large but it was quite comfortable. We were extremely happy and the pillows were better than any other hotel which is extremely important to me. Their breakfast was so delicious and in the evening it was so nice to sit in the gathering room, very relaxing. Amazingly, we spoke to a woman staying there and she was from our hometown I. USA, small world.

Bring conditioner for your hair. I don’t usually bring shampoo/conditioner because all hotels provide that these days. They did not, so my hair was a little coarse. I wish more hotels in England would provide washcloths. So bring your own. I forgot mine. Be aware Guisachan is on a hill but not bad.
