Host was wonderful very friendly. Room had a great view of the water. Room was very nice, bed was very comfortable. A nice variety for breakfast with fresh cooked eggs.

Wonderful B&B. So clean and comfortable. View from our room was beautiful and the owner was extremely knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was European style with fresh options every morning. The only thing it lacked was a indoor sitting area if it rains. The outside patio is quaint with a lovely view of the water. Town and restaurants are just a short 10 minute walk away and there is enough parking for all guests. I would absolutely recommend staying here. Thank you for a lovely couple of days.

Katerina is a wonderful hostess and her breakfast is amazing! The rooms and views are lovely and this is a great place for a getaway.
Tips:Westcourt is literally a short drive to Ben Nevis and more! You can walk a short ways (less than 1/2 mile) to the High Street for great food options - we highly recommend Spice Tandoori for their yummy Indian food!

A perfect host, perfect location and spotlessly clean accommodation. Katarzyna was a fabulous host, she knows such a lot about the area and even as seasoned travellers to Fort William (40 years and counting) she pointed us in the direction of a few places we had never been to. The choice of food at breakfast is fabulous with Katarzyna on hand to have everything ready for us, pot of tea and coffee, gorgeous homemade yoghurt pots and scrambled egg with toast. That is before the choice of cereals, cakes, breads, cheeses, meats, quiche, and huge choice of fresh fruit!!! Thank you guys for a fabulous stay and hope to see you again soon.
Tips:Ask Katarzyna - she knows!!

Very friendly Host. Katarina was just marvellous. She was very attentive and gave us loads of information on what we could do in the area. We were welcomed with a friendly smile. Katarina showed us around our room and how things worked. We were shown where we would have breakfast the following morning. Breakfast was a continental style breakfast. Fresh fruit, hams, cheeses toast scrambled egg, salmon, tea coffee yoghurt. Our room was very large and the view was just fantastic. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the same but we still enjoyed our stay.
Tips:Only a short 10/15 mins walk to town. Lots of restaurants and cafes. Train station is about 20/25 mins walk away from Westcourt but a straight road there.

25th September 2023:
The guest house is beautifully appointed, spacious, and well situated. The hosts are warm, friendly, and helpful. Caterina gave excellent suggestions on where to eat and what to see. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious with the freshest most delicious salmon we’ve ever had. We spent 3 days happily following Caterina’s directions on interesting places to see like Neptune’s steps on the Caledonian canal.
Tips:We enjoyed our walks through the town following the steps to the museum, the churches, the castle, the paths along the Loch, through the fields where the sheep wandered, and watching the steam engine train chug by us. The highlight for us was the hike up Ben Nevis. The 5 mile trail to the top is well built to accommodate the hikers, brutal weather on top, amazing views on the walk down. Full rain gear, gloves, hat, and sturdy boots were key for us in safely ascending and descending the highest mountain in the UK.

2nd September 2023:
The Guest House and the room was great. The place was lovely and calm. However, the negative point was that we couldn’t wake up when we wanted because we had a mandatory time to have the breakfast (between 7:30am and 8:45am), which is really early. And if you sleep late, then you cannot sleep as much as you want and need and you are tired all day for the activities that you planned. Moreover, the check out is really early (10am). We couldn’t benefit of the morning and do activities.
Tips:The boat tour Cruise Loch Linhe recommended by the host was really great.

What an enchanting stay at this delightful bed and breakfast! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for our entire visit. The cozy ambiance of the place made us feel right at home. And oh, the breakfast! It was an absolute culinary delight! The spread was nothing short of exceptional, but the real showstopper was the divine smoked salmon. Every bite was an explosion of flavors that left our taste buds dancing with joy. It's hard to describe just how heavenly it was! The attention to detail and personalized service from the hosts made our experience truly unforgettable. We cherished every moment, savoring not only the delicious food but also the charming atmosphere and the breathtaking surroundings. Without a doubt, we will be raving about this bed and breakfast to all our friends and family. A heartfelt thank you to the hosts for making our stay an extraordinary one. We loved our stay at Westcourt Guest house! Such an authentic place. Our room was amazing, and the staff was really friendly and sincere.
Tips:With good weather: have a drink at the back terrace of the Ben Navis Restaurant on the mainstreet. If you are sporty: We highly recomment renting mountain bikes from the Off Beat Bikes store and do the recommended route they give you. Its a beautiful route and it even passes the gondolas that brings you up the Ben Navis. We did this as a break activity and then continued the route.

Both Charles and Katarina were the hostestess with the mostest! The rooms were beautifully fitted out with every comfort. Katrina is a gorgeous chef and breakfast was first class home country style cooking with a large variety of cold meats, and wonderful cheeses and cakes, including scrambled eggs with salmon. A variety of juices were available as was home made yoghurt with berries. The platter of fruit available to guests also included gorgeous stone fruits such as apricots and peaches. Katarina also had cooked a delicious quiche which was on the self serve side board. Charles was very helpful and very friendly. When my sister and I arrived back at the room after a walk in the afternoon Kararina brought fresh home made cake on a tray complete with fresh strawberries to have for afternoon tea. This would be my one stop place of accommodation if I was ever in Fort William again. I absolutely highly recommend it.
Tips:The only tip I would have is... If you take your washing to the laundry service the sign out the front says Industrial washing... However this company will also do personal washing as well.

Lovely 2 night stay wish it could have been longer. Charles and Katarina were very welcoming and knowledgeable on the area. Accommodation was great as was the breakfast - continental with salmon and scrambled eggs available too.
Tips:We came to Fortwilliam as had tickets for the Jacobite but was sadly cancelled two days before arrival because of the train strike. Still plenty to do in the area - seal cruise from the pier, Steall falls - bit of a hike Rocky/slippery in place so you need good shoes and be relatively fit. We tried to see the train going over the viaduct at Glenfinnian the day after we were booked but the view point car parks were full by the time we arrived at 10.15 - train goes over at 10.45 so get there early.

But aside from the amazing accommodation and the location the owners are truly amazing people. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left they were amazing and they made the our trip that more special.
Tips:Book this hotel and the owners will give you the best advice possible

Bedroom has all facilities and well-stocked beverage tray. Can't recommend highly enough.

Great finish to room we stayed in including jacuzzi bath which was great after walking up Nevis (room5). Very helpful on arrival and throughout stay.
Tips:Great location only 5-10 minutes walk into Fort William to reach all the shops/pubs/restaurants. Reccomemd taking a trip on the Jacobite train ride to Mallaig. We used the hotel as our point of travel to Ben Nevis which was a ~10 minute drive so very ideal for early start. Also recommended Steall waterfall walk at the side of Nevis. Lovely guest house a few minutes walk from the centre of Fort William along the banks of Loch Linnhe. Our room was fantastic, comfy bed, huge shower and a jet bath for soaking away the aches of a day walking :) Breakfast was good, lots of choice of cereals, pastries etc, and the option of a hot dish of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.. all very tasty.. oh and not to forget the super yogurt with fruit. Charles the owner was the ultimate host, always available to help out any way he could. All in all an excellent place to stay.

As soon as you walk into Westcourt, you feel at home and comfortable. Charles is a great host and remained polite, kind and friendly throughout our visit. The twin bedroom we stayed in was cosy but at the same time spacious for two people. Every detail has been thought out carefully, It was spotlessly clean. The location provides beautiful views across the Loch and is also convenient to walk into the centre ( 15/20 mins walk). Thank you for a really memorable stay.
Tips:Taxis are cheap and easy to get from the station and we were also able to hire one outside Tesco on the high street. Haddock and chips at Macari’s ( on the main shopping st) was absolutely excellent - so fresh.

Great location so close to the town centre and overlooking the Loch. Charles was amazing; welcoming, friendly and told us of some great places to see locally that we otherwise may not have done.
Tips:Book bars and restaurants in advance wherever possible as we struggled initially due to reduced seating. Climb Ben Nevis but allow several days for your legs to recover - This will take about 7 hours to summit and to the bottom again. Go to Steall waterfalls - be prepared to get wet feet for best view.

Excellence all around. Accommodating and gracious welcome and consistently throughout the stay. Helpful and spot-on guidance to local spots, including walks, food, and attractions. Immaculate room, amazing views, convenient to shopping and transportation. On top of all that, breakfast was the best meal we had in two weeks in the UK, bar none. To put that in proper perspective, we never had one dis-satisfactory meal on our entire trip.
Tips:Absolutely rely on the advise of the hosts for advice on things to fill your time in Fort William and in the surrounding area. Adorable little place with a great breakfast everyday. Most suited to travelers over the age of 18. Our host knew everything about the local area and how to get where we wanted to go. Front rooms face Loch Linnhe, and on nice days there are places to sit and relax the front porch. We found the location to be quiet and restful. The wifi signal was good, if that matters to you. While a little bit on the outskirts of town, you can walk into Fort William in about 10 minutes, unless you get distracted by Loch Linnhe on the way. Overall, great stay. We would come back if we get the chance.
Tips:There is pretty much something for everyone near Fort William, including the "Hogwarts Express" train. We took a boat tour of the Loch which was fun and educational. The town itself is charming and tiny, just one main street really. We visited several waterfalls and found the Highland coos along the way. Hiking on Ben Nevis was one of the highlights of our visit. As for food we can recommend Cobb's restaurant and pub in the Nevisport Center- they do excellent meat pies and venison stews. The Indian food at Spice Tandoori was also very good. They seem to host a lot of large groups, but we had nto trouble getting served. We heard great things about Crannog Seafood and the Ben Nevis Inn, but those require booking in advance!

Tips:The Crannog Seafood restaurant was amazing! Tip: eat there first because they'll give you a discount on the boat cruise, which is also a must! Other things we saw that I'd recommend: The Ben Nevis Whiskey Distillery. Inverlochy Castle ruins. Having afternoon tea at the new Inverlochy Castle hotel. And if you love Harry Potter, you must ride the Jacobite train to Mallaig.

A limpeza impecável.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, they made you feel very relaxed and at home. They were very informative and helpful with regards to our surroundings and took the time to explain how to get around Fort William and see the best parts of it in the short time we were there. They were also very helpful in advising us on the best places to eat, very pleased we chose Westcourt Guest House for our stay in Fort William and would definitely stay there again in the future.
Tips:Westcourt Guest House is a five minuet walk from the Town Centre where there are plenty of Pubs and Restaurants to have something nice to eat and drink. If you like spicy food, Spice Tandoori is a very nice Indian Restaurant, The Tavern a little further up from Spice Tandoori is also vey nice for more traditional Pub food, both get very busy, but are worth the wait. Everything you want to see in Fort William is just a short drive from the Guest House, Steal Waterfall, Neptune's Steps, Glenfinnian Viaduct (used in the filming of Harry Potter), the Nevis Range Gondola Ride, Ben Nevis Distillery and Visitor Centre and much more depending an what you are there to see and how far you want to travel.

The room (twin single) was very well presented and the ensuite bathroom completed our happy experience. Do checkout their website for pictures of the other rooms too.I don't think you'll be disappointed. Thank you to you both.
Tips:Fort William and it's surrounding towns have a lot to offer. My advice would be to listen to what Charles and Katyia have to suggest. Also, the A82 through Glencoe and the A87 to Skye offer some amazing views. Pictures do not do them justice.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner Charles and then introduced to our room which had a splendid couple of cakes on the bed as a welcome. The room, house and gardens are immaculate, the room was very comfortable, with all the facilities anyone would require. The breakfasts were excellent and immaculately presented. Charles and Katarina and very friendly andwelcoming hosts. Charles has a good knowledge of the area offering advice willingly. The property is a short walk along the Loch side into town, making it an excellent location.
Tips:Our main purpose was to do some driving, which we did. The scenery is spectacular almost every where you look and can change by the minute with clouds, mist sunshine. Glen Etive road (Skyfall) was a delight with many deer in certain areas. I am advised that those antlers can be dangerous? Being the end of February the roads were often very quiet, a bonus. Take care on single track roads and beware of corners that spring up quickly after a good fast section of A road. The best meal was at the Ben Nevis Inn ( Chicken Rumbledethumps?)

One of the best, and maybe the best place we've stayed in many years of traveling. Our room was truly luxurious. The breakfast was outstanding. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful. One of the delightful surprises was finding a plate for each of us with a piece of cake, a jelly donut and cookie when we came back to our room on the second night. A special treat at arrival is always nice, but we've never had one after that. There was also a package of short bread, some candies, and potato chips for snacks always in the room. These are just examples of the exceptional hospitality we received. When you're traveling and dealing with trains and bus schedules it's really nice to feel pampered.

We only spent two nights at Westcourt, but even in that small amount of time, we grew very fond of it. Everything is clean and beautiful. Our favourite things were: the more than amazing breakfast, the bathtub, the soaps and it's location. You only need to take a few steps to be down at the loch. Our hosts were always kind and happy ro help, so thank you for making our stay so wonderful.
Tips:If you are on a tighter budget like us, then we can recommend the local Wetherspoon. And if you are at Fort Willim, you absolutely must travel with the Jacobite steam train (especially if you are a Harry Potter fan like us). At Westcourt, we recommend you try the kipper for breakfast. It is delicious.

Tips:A trip on the steam train from Fort William to Mallaig is a must or just a visit to the station to see the steam engines. A walkers paradise, from mountains to rivers and glens. This is a lovely place to stay and Charles and Katarina are so helpful. The room was on the small side (with a lovely large en-suite) but had everything you could possibly need, with fresh towels, made up bed and biscuits every day. It is just outside of town.. a few minutes walk which is absolutely perfect as there is a great view of the Loch and it is nice and quiet. I would definitely stay her again and refer friends too. Only one niggle is that the room didn't have black out curtains and the sun rises pretty early there!
Tips:Although we at first thought of walking Ben Nevis we ended up hiring bikes from the High Street. My hubby had an MTB and I hired and electric MTB so we were well suited. We really covered a lot of mileage and saw a great deal of the surrounding area, on quiet roads, cycle paths, trails and some single track. We would highly recommend Westcourt.
Tips:The Guest House is only a 10 minute stroll to the town centre. An excellent Fish Restaurant is only 5 minutes walk along the loch and there are many attractions all within 10 - 15 minutes drive away. We were extremely impressed by this guest house. Everything from the cleanliness to a wonderful breakfast. Don't miss out on this great spot!
Tips:There is a very nice town center only a short walk from the guest house for shopping, food and drinks. The guest house is also close to many activities and attractions.

Lovely place to stay. We had a sea view, only downfall is you are on a main road and you can hear the traffic go by if you have the window open. We are used to this so it didn't bother us. Charles was great at giving us info on touristy things and also pointed out places on a map. Breakfast was great, continental followed by a varied menu and also a pot of yogurt with honey and fruit, tea, coffee, croissant and toast, so plenty to set you up for the day. Plenty off street parking too. I would definitely go back.
Tips:Westcourt is a 15 min walk to the train station, as we went on the steam train across the Harry Potter bridge lovely views through Fort William to Mallaig. Highly recommended. Great place for walker etc.

The best B&B I have stayed in during my last 40 years of travelling. The annex was a real home from home with all the facilities of a real home. A short walk to the town so ideally placed for anything you would want to do. The breakfast in the morning was superb with a variety of choice with fresh homemade chices to go with it.
Tips:Plenty of great pubs and restaurants for all manners of tastes, steam trains to Mallaig and the scenic west highland line towards Glasgow too. A climb to the top of Ben Nevis for those with the energy and the scenery is breathe taking. I have been travelling that area for the last 30 years and I still love it.

A stunning property right on the loch at Fort William. It is spotless and quiet while being walking distance to shops restaurants and the railway station. Charles welcomed us very graciously and was a fount of information on where to go and what to see locally we took his advice and enjoyed a wonderful day touring. Delicious cooked to order breakfast. Thank you Charles.
Tips:We ate at the West End pub. Reasonably priced and good meal. Go to Glenfinnan for a must see view of the Harry Potter train and bridge then head on to Mallaig for fish and chips and views of the isle of Skye.

A brilliant two night stay. Our hosts, Charles and Katherine couldn't have been more welcoming. Our room was spotless and the breakfast was to die for.
Tips:Fort William town centre is a 5-10 minute walk away, with pubs and restaurants aplenty. Centrally situated for the Western Isles via Oban. Moidart, Sunart and Ardnamurchan over the Corran ferry 8 miles away. Inverness via the Caledonian canal and Skye either by ferry from Mallaig or by road over the Skye bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh. I would recommend this route as Eileen Donan castle is a must see.

20th February 2017:
Our stay at Westcourt was luxurious, we were made to feel as part of the family from the moment we arrived. The house was truly stunning and Charles and Katarina went that extra mile to make our stay a break to remember. Breakfast was a full Scottish breakfast to set you up for the day and the service was excellent. Katarina would clean the room while you were out and when we came back there were 2 gorgeous slices of chocolate cake, served up on a beautiful tray waiting for us in the room, not to mention the exquisite iced fruit buns that were served to us on arrival. The room was luxurious and the spa bath was fantastic after a day of shopping and dining. The sea view from our room was breath taking and the house from top to bottom was exquisitely furnished and decorated beautifully. It was a real pleasure to stay there and Charles and Katarina were so gracious as your hosts. They really do open their beautiful house up to you. I can't praise the owners, house or cleanliness and attention to detail highly enough. I would recommend anyone to stay there.
Tips:We drove down to the local shops, literally a 2 min drive or if weather nice a 5-10 min walk. The shops were everything from quirky to fashionable and sold beautiful jewellery, art, nicknaks or just about anything you are looking for. There is also a local Morrissons. We visited Ben Nevis Gondolas, Glenfinnan Viaduct, Neptune's Stairs, all of which had lovely visitors centre's and if you are looking for pub food, witherspoons or fine dining, it has it all.

A lovely family owned guesthouse where my wife and I were made very welcome.
Tips:A lovely white sands beach at Morar, near Mallaig is certainly a worthwhile visit, and is only a 45 minute scenic drive from the guesthouse. In Fort William we enjoyed a meal at the nearby Chinese restaurant and a drink in Wetherspoons. Both are only a five minute walk from the accommodation.

Very friendly owners. Nicely decorated place and kept spic and span. Beautiful views of the lawns and the loch. Within walking distance of high street, restaurants and station.
Tips:Information centre is in the high street and a visit is really helpful as we changed our plan based on their inputs. The walk along the Caledonian Canal from Corpach to Banavie ending with watching a big boat move along the Neptune Steps is an experience that we will cherish. Watching 2 steam trains cross the Glenfinnan viaduct standing at viewpoints below and above the viaduct between 3:15 and 3:45 pm is another memorable experience.

I am an absent-minded professor who booked three rooms for the wrong date, and surprised the Westcourt hosts when showing up. They responded by making their single open room available, and then going to considerable effort to locate other lodgings for us. Their warmth and kindness could not be surpassed, and I wouldn't hesitate to return.
