Short walk to pedestrian walking mall lined with stores of all sorts, museums and food options. Ample parking, with easy in/out from main road, the noise from which is not an issue inside rooms. The rooms themselves are well thought out, providing everything you might need, including a generous coffee/tea/light breakfast needs. Linens and towels all particularly nice. Hosts are easily accessed, very pleasant and helpful regarding large variety of possible questions, but leave you your privacy as desired.

Fantastic place, perfect location across from the Loch and great for hiking Ben Nevis. Accommodation is very clean, huge shower and its great it has a fridge. Breakfast bits were a lovely addition especially due to early morning starts! The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in and the room is cleaned daily if you would like. Definitely recommend, thanks for making it a memorable stay in Scotland!

The location is superb on the banks of the loch. Our room was very homely and with rain lashing outside it was great to have a smart TV and catch up on favourite shows! The breakfast items provided were more than adequate for us.

We did find that we had to queue for food in the evening even at pubs. We ate at the tavern which was great and service was quick so tables turned over fast. We went to the west highlands museum in town as the weather was so bad but actually found it much more interesting than I expected.

The information book was comprehensive, and contained everything we needed to know about the accommodation (no meals included), and the town and its facilities (restaurants etc). The accommodation was very good quality and everything new condition and spotlessly clean.

Jacobite Train Station is about a 15 minute walk from this guest house, so if you’re traveling on the Harry Potter Steam Train, it’s a great location. Lots of restaurants in town and beautiful scenery all around.

We were only in for a one night stay but wouldn’t hesitate to stay longer if we ever needed to. The room was lovely with a great view of the loch from the front window (room 4). Exceedingly spacious, a good smart TV to kick back to and very comfortable bed. We only had a small interaction with the host on arrival but they were welcoming and offered advice if needed. Also kept my watch charger for me that I had left behind!

I’m not sure about the rest of the week but after arriving tired and taking a nap, beware that most restaurants etc close around 8.30pm on a Sunday!

Fantastic location across the road from the Loch and nice walk into city centre.Parking out the front which is always convenient.Room was large with king size bed which was just as comfortable as our bed at home. Great bathroom with large fluffy white towels and toiletries provided. Tea and coffee making facilities in room and snacks provided in place of breakfast.Large TV and seating area in room which was nice after a long day out. Host welcoming but allowed you to come and go as you pleased. Nothing negative to say.

The steam train of course but if you can’t afford this it’s worth driving out to Glen Finnan to view the viaduct and the train passing over. You actually get a better view of the viaduct from the ground.

Lovely Place! Sorry for my clumsy English. Feels like coming home! Everything is new and Nic thought about everything. Brandnew bathroom with an excelent shower. Comfy bed and even a Nespresso-machine and a small fridge. Great view on the lake wit great sunset on the porch. Very nice hosts, we felt more than welcome. Absolutely great stay! Thank You very much - we will come back!

Walk to the City Center ist about 700 yards. But there is a central parking lot close to the center of the town as well. Good restaurants: The Geographer, Ben Nevis Restaurant. Glencoe / The Three Sisters in the afternoon. And of course for Harry Potter Fans: The Glenfinnan Viaduct (around 3:15 pm) :)

We really enjoyed our stay - it was perfect for us and we liked the free to book option. The bedroom and bathroom were well equipped and we really appreciated the coffee, tea and breakfast snacks. We were hillwalking, so that helped us get going in the morning. We also loved the tables outside where we could sit and enjoy a cup of tea with a view. We weren't expecting to have new towels on the 2nd day, so maybe it's worth giving guests the option? Lots of hotels have a "towels on the floor" sign so guests can indicate if they want new towels(might save you some work?)

Fort William was busy, but we found a good fish and chip shop on our 2nd evening - Sammys in Caol, where we could eat our supper outside looking out across the loch and up to the Ben.

Lovely sized room with all you would expect and more. We walked to the station for the Jacobite train and walked to some restaurants.

We ate at the Ben Nevis Inn, Crannog at Garrison West and the cinema cafe. All very different but all enjoyable.

The room is very spacious and clean. The bathroom is a 10 out of 10 for me along with the porridge and coffee supplied each morning. Large TV in the corner and plenty of space to spread out. Just loved it.

Within 10 mins walk of High Street and situated across the road from the Loch. It is quiet and easily accessable. The start of the walk up to Cow Hill is less than 5 min walk away. Plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance of The Willows.

We stayed in the annexe and it was everything you could hope for. Well equipped for a room only, having said that there were lots of goodies you could have for breakfast if you wished. Spotlessly clean with lovely crisp white bedding and the most comfortable super king bed I have slept in, including my own. It was very reasonable too, facing the loch with many local eateries. Have no hesitation in recommending this lovely place.

The Tavern was very nice - recommend the steak pie. We were cycling the Caledonian Way and would recommend getting the ferry across to Camusnagual and cycling to Corran. Gorgeous scenery and very quiet road.

Exceeded expectations. Breakfast provided was more than sufficient. Rooms being "made up" every day was unexpected since many hotels these days (such as Premier Inn) only do this upon request. Location ideal with view across the loch while being a comfortable walk from town. More than ample off-street parking.

If you cannot get tickets for the Jacobite then still worth doing the trip to Mallaig by Scotrail. The views are the same and it'll be cheaper. Enjoyed a nice couple of beers at The Tavern in town.

A very good location as it is situated opposite Loch Linnhe. The room is spotless, the towels are changed everyday. The bed is very comfortable. The guest house is very convenient as it is a walking distance to the high street, morissons, bus and train station.

An hour walk to the Great Glen path, it is refreshing to walk through field with a flock sheep (first time I’ve seen a black sheep), we caught a glimpse of an otter by the river and seeing the Nevis range from a distance. The Highland Museum is worth visiting as they have a good collection of memorabilia.

Nice large family room. Beds are great. Friendly staff. Large parking at the hotel. No served breakfast, which was announced. But you can manage with the coffee/tea and biscuits/porridge/juice etc. you get in the room. There is also a small fridge.

We climbed Ben Nevis. Also Glen Coe valley is nice. Try to reserve a table in one of the restaurants in town. They are very busy.

Such obvious care had been taken to make the annexe a really warm and inviting place to stay in. Everything was provided - plates, cutlery and even a microwave and fridge. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Despite being on a main road, it was completely silent at night. We appreciated the brioche bins left for breakfast and the range of tea and coffee.

We loved our stay at The Willows! Nic & Paul were there any time we needed them, and they’re always willing to help. The room was immaculately clean and spacious. They serviced the room everyday which was very nice. They aren’t doing breakfast services at the moment, but we had great coffee and snacks in the room. Location was great for Jacobite train as well as a stop near Glencoe. We would recommend a stay there to anyone, we really enjoyed it.

Absolutely loved dinner at Crannog. The food was exceptional; best food on our trip around Scotland. They do require reservations and are currently closed Mon & Tue.

Welcoming and comfortable. We felt very well taken care of, and the room was excellent - very well put together down to details like USB ports, range of teas aside from English Breakfast, very useful guide on good places to eat etc. We had a lovely stay.

Eating and drinking: Black Isle Bar (great pizza and craft beer), Grog & Gruel (very friendly). Walking: Cow Hill trail, Glen Nevis walk to Steal Falls (loved this - great for a bit of rock scrambling but not too challenging in terms of elevation). The Jacobite steam train to Mallaig was fantastic; great fish & chips from the chippy at Mallaig station.

Most of the accommodation in Fort William fronts onto the A82, which is a fairly busy road. We had the annex room in The Willows, which is a very nice self-contained and private unit, and the windows face to the side, so the road noise was less intrusive than for many. We had a big and very convenient parking space. The walk into town is straightforward and flat. It was a good-sized room with a very large double bed, space to sit and an ensuite bathroom. Everything seemed very clean. Because of Covid, breakfast wasn't provided although there was a small selection of foods left for us. But, most usefully, there was a small microwave and fridge in the room together with crockery and cutlery, which meant that we could sort out our own food easily - this was a big plus.

By far the nicest B&B I have ever stayed in. It was impeccably clean and beautiful. I would recommend it to anybody even the Queen herself. It made our stay extra special. The views are amazing, and it's just a 5 minute walk from all the pubs.

If you're staying to climb Ben Nevis, be mindful that not all rooms have got a bathtub. Ours didn't have one, and it would have been nice to relax our muscles after the climb, but the walk in shower was a nice way to freshen up.

Great location looking over the loch. It is a nice 10 min walk from the centre. Our annex/room was perfect for our 2 night stay to walk Ben Nevis. Due to a lot of places not being able to cater for food due to shortage of staff we were able to buy food and make use of the microwave and fridge in the room. Most importantly for me the room was spotless!! Would definitely return.

We never had a bad dining experience in Fort William loads of places and budgets to suit.So whether you want to climb the incredible Ben Nevis.Go monster hunting for Nessie or Morag.Visit Fort Augustus or Neptune’s staircase and watch the boats and yachts or go on The Jacobite (Harry Potters)steam train.Venture to Duirnish and see the highland coos that seem to own the place on the way to beautiful Plockton to name but a few of the fabulous things to do while you visit.Xx

Bring midgie repellent. We had lovely meals at the China Palace & The Tavern. We planned a walk up Neptune's Staircase but ended up going up the canal, which was a lovely walk. Harry Potter fans can see the Hogwarts express in Fort William & you can stop at Glenfinnan Viaduct & watch it cross over if you time it right, or watch it pull into Mallaig. The white sands of Morar are a must see, the water is so clear

We stayed for 4 nights in the garden annexe. Beautiful layout, comfortable bed and en-suite shower room. Lovely comfortable room with TV, fridge and microwave. Lovely hosts, due to covid it was room only but the host provided Porridge, croissants, biscuits and snacks. there was a dolce gusto coffee machine as well as a kettle. Definitely worth a visit. About a 10 minute walk into Fort Willaim. We took a day trip on the Jacobite Express (Hogwarts Express from Harry Potter) which was amazing. Crannock cruises is also worth a look, an hour and a half cruise to seal island. First pub in town is Weatherspoons, great for breakfast. Many other bars in town too.

VERY CLEAN! The accommodation was newly done up and excellent. The bathroom was excellent with a powerful shower. The host was very kind and provided us with a fan on request.

We really enjoyed staying at The Willows, although our schedule didn't allow us to stay more days. It was very comfortable, clean and cozy. In future trips certainly We'll be back.

Nic and paul are great host. Very welcome on arrival. Nothing to much trouble.there are helpful with place to go and restaurant.

Room 6 is a private annex. Which is a lovely room and has own parking. The Crannog Seafood Restaurant does nice food. Cairngorms National Park is a nice place to vist.ben nevis is a nice place to go.

Excellent b&b. Very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. We had two very good nights sleep and great breakfasts. Located about a ten minute stroll from the town. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Very nice place, brilliant clean, perfectly equipped. The brekfast was exellent, rich with a big assortiment. Paul was very helpful with information about places to visit, restaurants and other.

Don't miss the Crannog seafood restaurant, 10 min. walk from The Willows. A bit expencive but worth every penny. The city centre is about 15 min walk

Very friendly family, try to cater to all your requirements re late arrival. Ask to see the pet rabbits, they are adorable

You should really try the Wildcat Cafe, it may be Vegan but you get quality local food at great prices, Soup & local bread is very filling. If you can take a walk three miles uphill from Braveheart Car park to the top & the Iron age hill fort you get brilliant views of Ben Nevis & Glen Nevis. n a clear day the views are stunning.

Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Nic and Paul's friendly, informal approach to the host/guest relationship meant I was made to feel very welcome and relaxed. The cooking was very good, bed & room comfortable, and the location too couldn't be better. I would definitely like to return in the future!

If travelling on the Jacobite, book early! A good idea is to locate where you will park before the day of departure. The crowds overlooking Glenfinnan Viaduct were amazing in numbers and nationalities. Excellent fish and chips at the Garden Café near the station in Mallaig. The Isle of Skye Craft lager is recommended!

Paul & Nic very welcoming. We had room 6 (the annex) which was superb. There was a good choice for breakfast including cereal fruit continental as well as a variety of cooked English. I just had to choose a different one each day. This is our second visit to The Willows and very much look forward to another visit in the not too distant future.

Visited 3 different pubs/restaurants for evening meal. All served excellent food. A good selection of small shops in Fort William. Lovely to listen to the Piper's in the square. A visit to Oban should not be missed also a visit to Highland Folk Museum.

Excellent hosts,gave good information about the area and very kindly gave us a lift to the station. Variety for breakfast was excellent and the cooked breakfast was delicious, good selection in the room of teas, coffee, sweets and even a kitkat! We wished we could have stayed longer.

We stayed in the Annexe and this was brilliant, loved it here and wished we had stayed longer in the area. Trip on the Steam train is a must and we also visited the Distillery which was very interesting and Ben Nevis behind, regular local bus service from the Town so easy to reach without a car. Also the train trip from Glasgow Queen Street to Fort William is a beautiful journey. Fort William town centre is quite a pretty place and nice to sit for a while on a nice day,

Spent 4 nights b&b. Annex room No 6, fridge and micro wave very useful, 2 easy chairs, bed very comfy. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice, Mark will cook you anything within reason and providing you tell him the day before. 10 min walk to town, 20 min walk to train station Would definitely recommend.

Do not pay extra money to go on the steam train to Mallaig, use the standard train half the cost.
